One Year of A Visual Diary

It’s officially been a year since I published Jazzmine Marie: A Visual Diary. I created this blog to freely share my art and the stories behind my photography without the anxiety I experience with social media. I also started this blog as a dedication to my grandma, Bettie Marie, for gifting me my first camera at age eight.

I’m simply here to enjoy the freedom of being ME. To not feel the pressure to be a content-pumping machine, and having to settle for 4×5 crop ratios. I’m bored with it… This is my free space and I’m completely fine with taking the unpopular route as an artist, especially when it comes to preserving my mental health.

Plus, I’m way more fabulous in real life.

As a way to celebrate one year of A Visual Diary, I thought it would be an excellent idea to share an unposted photo from some of my favorite blogs published in the past year. Also, feel free to check them out if you haven’t before.
